The Philippines is made up of islands which means there are a lot of beaches everywhere you go. And since it is a tropical country people can go to the beach any time they want to. Because of the Philippines’ pristine beaches a lot of tourists have discovered that this is a wonderful country to visit. If you are planning to visit the country soon here are some of the best beaches in the Philippines that you will not want to miss.
Boracay- Boracay is an island in the Philippines and one of the most popular beaches in the country. You have to ride a pump boat to get there as there are no airports on the island. The boat trip itself is an enjoyable experience as you can glimpse at the surrounding islands on the way to Boracay. There are a lot of stores as well as hotels when you get there so you don’t have to worry about the accommodation.
• Alona Beach Resort- Alona beach resort is located in Panglao, Bohol. It is pretty much like Boracay in that it has accommodations and stores for the comfort of the tourists. The main difference is that it is not that crowded as compared to Boracay. Aside from that you can go to Balicasag Island from Alona beach resort if you want to go snorkeling and look at the sea life such as dolphins and occasional tortoises.
• Pearl Farm Beach Resort- Pearl Farm beach resort is located in Samal Island in Mindanao. You have to ride a pump boat from Davao City to get to this resort but if you have a car you can drive to the island using the ferry boat — which is big enough to fit 20 cars. This beach resort gets its name from the fact that they breed shells that create pearls here. If you visit Pearl Farm you can purchase some pearls as a remembrance. The beach itself is also pristine with white sand. The resort accepts dollars so if you are an American and want to visit there you don’t have to worry about having to exchange your money to Philippine pesos.
• Isla Reta- Isla Reta is located in Talicud Island, a small island just below Samal Island. If you are looking for a good beach to relax at this is the place to be. Isla Reta offers you a beach that is clear with beautiful white sand. Talicud Island is on the open sea so expect stronger waves than Samal as most of the beach resorts in Samal, like Pearl Farm, are in between Davao City and Samal Island so the waves are not that strong.
• Siargao- Siargao is located at the tip of Mindanao Island, which faces the Pacific Ocean. If you are into surfing this is one of the best places to catch great waves thanks to a popular break known as Cloud 9. Siargao waves are considered to be one of the top 10 best waves in the world in terms of surfing.
